There’s so much to do across Massachusetts this month. From festivals to family fun, here are the July events that you wont want to miss throughout the state.

 

SHALIN LIU PERFORMANCE CENTER

Shalin Liu Performance Center, Rockport

Rockport Chamber Music Festival

Rockport’s Shalin Liu Performance Center is among best places in Massachusetts to catch a show during the summer, and their annual Chamber Music Festival is one of their most notable programs. This year’s event, which began in June and will run until August 12, still has many concerts to come, including performances by GRAMMY® Award-winning ensemble Third Coast Percussion (July 7), a Cabaret of famous movie music (July 7), and a celebration of the music of Schubert (July 9).

Family Beach Day with Rodney The Sandman

Grab your pale and shovel and take a trip out to Onset to build sandcastles with other families from across Massachusetts. Prizes will be given for the best children’s castle, best family castle, and in individual categories. The annual Onset Kite Festival is also taking place at the same time, so be sure to bring your kite! The event is free to attend.

Lavender Workshops Days

Enjoy lavender’s unique smells, tastes, and sights in this day-long, limited space, adults-only event. Create unique crafts in one of several lavender workshops, or explore lavender fields just as the 2023 season winds down. Breakfast, lunch, and lavender tea and lemonade are included.

Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival

You won’t want to miss this celebration of Cape Cod’s signature white, blue, and pink flowers. In addition to tours of private hydrangea gardens, you can also look forward to workshops, talks, sales, and art installations across Cape Cod. Garden tours are typically $5 per tour per person, and ticket sales benefit Cape nonprofits.

The Paragon Boardwalk Mini Golf Tournament

Do you think of yourself as a mini golf pro? Test your mettle against a tournament of others and see if your skills are up to par. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased through the event’s website.

American Heritage Museum, Hudson

WWII Tank Demonstration

Watch some vintage military vehicles from the museum and private collections in action in the museum’s tank driving grounds during this special 2-day event. This is a special opportunity to see history come to life and watch some incredible machines do what they do best. World War 2 reenactors will also be on site. Tickets range from $15 to $25.

Family Fun Nights At New England Botanic Garden- July 11

Explore The Ramble and participate in loads of family-friendly activities, including singalongs, character meet-and-greets, face painting, and more. Food options include ice cream trucks for the kids and a beer garden for mom and dad. Tickets range from $7 per child/$12 per adult for members and $12 per child/$23 per adult for nonmembers and must be purchased in advance.

YidStock 2023: The Festival of New Yiddish Music

The best in klezmer and new Yiddish music come to Amherst for this 4-day festival of Yiddish film, lectures, and live performances. Build your own event itinerary by attending in person, or purchase a livestream pass to participate from your home.

Blueberry & Flower Fest

Pick your own blueberries, indulge in some hard cider, and enjoy entertainment offerings including live music, hayrides, and more at this multi-weekend festivity. Admission is free but registration is required in advance.

11th Annual Brewster Summer Arts And Craft Festival

Over 100 artisans will gather over 2 days at Drummer Boy Park to share and sell their creations. Arts and crafts on display will include jewelry, soaps, apparel, photography, sculpture, carpentry, and more. In addition, guests can also check out craft demonstrations, specialty food, and the beautiful summertime Cape setting. Admission is free, and the event will be held rain or shine.
